Station 27

Crisis management steps:

  1. Have a plan. Objectives? Who is affected? What is affected?
  2. Get a spokesperson.
  3. Honest & open w/ colleagues and client.
  4. Inform the team of the crisis including the people that aren't there, then business as usual.
  5. Keep the client informed if required.
  6. Update the team often. (avoid rumors)
  7. People's behavior is different on social media than in real life. How does the team communicate and how does the team communicate to the client.

My crisis rules:

  1. When it comes to my role i will be be supporting a lot of the other roles to make sure that they are on target and are not falling behind, for example i will be doing a lot of the code because i am quite skilled with UE4. also if i am not here then because the project has been set up with git-hub i can still work on it from home without any issues.
  2. when it comes to a spokesperson, that will be Jordan when he's here and me if he's not
  3. if i or the group are ever behind i will make sure that the group and (if needed) the client is aware
  4. if people aren't in then i'll make sure that everyone knows what they need to do so that people can still continue with their work
  5. both me and Jordan will make sure that we are regularly emailing the client to keep her updated
  6. we will be starting to use discord so that all the team have a space where we can all talk about the project
  7. again we will be using discord as our main way to communicate with the team and emails to communicate with the client.

Progress log:

My Smart Targets:

11/03/2020:

Started development of the character able to pick up objects such as items and keys.
Finished pick up system, now i can start work on creating sliding doors which require key-cards and other puzzle game-play features.
this is the blueprint for the door which i have created, i have a cube which is a placeholder for a key, the door will only open if you grab the key and take it to the door.

This is the code for the door.
This is the door working with animation.
